They were joined by paddlers from several northeastern states and some from as far away as Virginia, Portland Oregon and Canada.\u00a0 At least 50 paddlers turned out to learn Greenland rolling technique and work on their paddling skills.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270106a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1111\" title=\"Rolling on the River\" src=\"https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270106a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270106a.jpg 448w, https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270106a-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It seems that more and more paddlers are trying the greenland paddle and learning\u00a0 new (and often easier ways) to roll their kayaks.\u00a0\u00a0 This festival was no exception and provided expert instruction from an outstanding group of mentors.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270100a1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1119\" title=\"Expert Instruction\" src=\"https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270100a1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270100a1.jpg 448w, https:\/\/get-the-nack.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/P6270100a1-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to the Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club for sponsoring the event and to all the mentors like Peter Gengler and McKinley Rodriguez pictured above with Ann Kaiser.\u00a0 McKinley was the 2009 Womens Champion at the Greenland National Kayaking Championship.
